Overview: New To Education is seeking compassionate and dedicated Special Education tutors to join our global platform. Tutors should be committed to student-centered learning and capable of supporting students with diverse needs, including learning disabilities, developmental delays, and behavioral challenges. Whether working with students who require academic modifications, behavioral strategies, or social-emotional support, tutors will tailor instruction to meet each learner’s individual education goals in an inclusive, respectful, and supportive environment..
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1-on-1, group sessions, or asynchronous support for students with diverse learning needs
Design and deliver personalized lessons that align with each student’s learning goals and abilities
Utilize strategies tailored to students with disabilities, learning differences, or developmental delays
Communicate regularly and professionally with students, parents/guardians, and support staff
Maintain flexibility in scheduling and keep availability updated
Follow New To Education’s content and conduct standards, maintaining professionalism and inclusivity
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience teaching or tutoring students with special needs
Strong ability to differentiate instruction and apply student-centered teaching practices
Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, and inclusive education methods
Reliable internet access and proficiency with online teaching tools
Patient, compassionate, and well-organized
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree or certification in Special Education or a related field
Experience supporting students with a range of disabilities or learning needs
Familiarity with digital tools like Zoom, Google Workspace, educational apps, or assistive technology
Compensation:
Tutors receive 70% of the booking fee, with flexibility to set their own rates based on experience and services. Bonuses and recognition may be awarded for outstanding student feedback and performance.
